Steven Titchener

Third year designer extraordinaire.
My final pieces of work!.. There are more posters but those are the three styles they are in with just minor differences. The ‘A’ poster should also be lit from behind with the light changing colour to show how synesthesia is different for each person.
I think they have come out really well and am glad that they are finally done!

Dissertation

Have just got feedback for my dissertation and it is going really well, ready to hand in well. I am really proud of this and am printing it now. As much work as it was I did enjoy learning more about semiotics and think this will help my design thinking in the future.

Poster i made for negotiated projects. I think it stays in style with the book and communicates synesthesia well, there will be a series of them each exploring a differnet sense.

The colour on the A changes through lights behind it.

A monochoromatic series of posters based on the triangle.. Thought it would be quite nice having a series instead of just the one poster, this is half going through the colours of the rainbow, might need a few tweaks to make it right but I like the way it is going.

A few ideas for my posters for the next part of the project, advertising an exhibition about synaesthesia. The first posters triangle changes colour by a light passing around the back or maybe by using a lenticular.

I think the reflect the exhibition well and keep with the theme of my book.

Feedback always welcome =]

Some of the tickets I have designed for the second part of the module. They have worked out really well and I think they stick with the theme of the exhibition and my book well. The only problems are that they need to be printed on thicker material and the cases need to be smaller so they fit snuggly, but as a quick home job they worked out how I wanted.

Some quilling i did today for a potential poster. I like the way it has come out but i think it could be improved as some of the lines aren’t quite level and maybe I could expand it outside the boundaries of the letter.

Today while exhibiting our publications.

I loved looking around everyone else’s publications. All the publications were such high quality which really inspired me to keep trying to make mine better.

There are two pages that can’t fit on, but you get the idea.. this is my (almost) finished book, fresh from purely digital printers.. brilliant quality and I couldn’t of hoped it to come out better tbh.

Behance!

I have updated my behance profile today with quite a few projects which is good, I have been meaning to do this for a while. Only just got around to doing it though.
